{"The Role": "As a Health and Safety Senior Adviser for the Faculty of Engineering, Computing & Environment, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laboratories, workshops, and offices are fully compliant with the latest health and safety legislation, prioritizing the well-being of students and staff. This role will also involve managing health and safety requirements for student field trips.

Please note that this is a place-based role, requiring you to work on campus Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
* Manage health and safety requirements for student field trips
* Work closely with faculty members and staff to promote a safe working environment
* Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures

The Person:

We are seeking an individual with knowledge and experience of working in engineering-based teaching and research laboratories, possessing a strong understanding of health and safety requirements for this environment. A NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent is a requirement for this post. You will have a willingness to undertake this training on appointment if this qualification is not already held and be committed to ongoing professional development.
