Unqualified Mental Health Assistant Position

EdEx Education Recruitment is seeking an Unqualified Mental Health Assistant to support children and young people with SEN/SEMH needs in a highly-regarded Secondary School in Wandsworth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people. They will work alongside a conscientious team of teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to provide support to pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing support to pupils with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Working alongside class teachers to assist with delivering material centered around core subjects
  • Assisting with leading 1:1 and small group interventions targeting pupil progress

Requirements:

  • A graduate holding a 1st Class degree or 2:1
  • Experience working with children and SEN/SEMH needs
  • A good understanding of the current curriculum
  • A passion for working with young people
