Role Overview

A high-achieving primary school in the London Borough of Lambeth seeks a motivated Mental Health Support Worker to join their supportive team.

About the Role
  • Mentor students with special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) requirements, and safeguarding needs.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and external partners to enhance student outcomes.
  • Plan and deliver group sessions and one-to-one support addressing the needs of students.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support to students.
  • Design and implement engaging activities promoting social skills, emotional regulation, and mental well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistency and progress tracking.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of SEN, SEMH, and safeguarding principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
