Mentor Digital Seeks Business Development Director

Mentor Digital, a leading digital agency based in Bristol, is looking for a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business and leads for our agency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming new business opportunities and make intelligent use of previous drafted answers to common tender questions.
  • Highlight areas where bespoke content needs to be written by the agency's directors.
  • Be essential in the pitch process for larger projects, handling logistics and communications with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that internal teams have all the necessary information, that internal meetings are proactively booked for pitch preparation, and that video calls are scheduled.
  • Draft articles and press releases for our website.
  • Make updates to site content, such as posting case studies and articles.
  • Build email newsletters.
  • Collate and proof tenders using InDesign, Word, and Excel.
  • Contract and handover to projects team.
  • Manage new business reports and pipeline management.
  • Organize new business team, diaries, and meetings.
  • Manage new business ticket management in Jira.
  • Manage Mentor website and post updates and case studies.
  • Sourcing email marketing data lists.
  • Write vertical market-specific content and articles.
Requirements:
  • Excellent attention to detail for proofreading.
  • Excellent sales technique, good phone/video manner, and confidence with outbound calling.
  • Ability to type up good quality meeting notes while on a phone/video call.
  • Strong numeracy and writing skills.
  • Driving license.
  • IT confident (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Digital/creative/software agency experience.
  • Experience of web design, creative software, and digital marketing projects.
