About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Specialist to join our team at Spark of Genius, a leading residential childcare provider in Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a positive, respectful, and empowering way with all young people to promote good relationships and encourage achievements.
  • Participate in and encourage the participation of young people in domestic tasks to develop self-care skills.
  • Write review reports, risk assessments, and contribute to care plans.
  • Liaise with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of young people are respected and promoted.

Requirements
  • Good understanding of developmental needs and milestones of young people.
  • Experience of working with children and families.
  • Driving license preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to communicate, engage, and form positive relationships with young people, parents, and other professionals.
