About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at CareTech UK.
Job Summary: As a key member of our residential childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to young people, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster positive relationships with young people, promoting their well-being and achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the social, emotional, and educational needs of our service users.
- Participate in domestic tasks to develop self-care skills and promote independence.
- Contribute to review reports, risk assessments, and care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
- Liaise with parents and partner agencies to maintain open communication and ensure the interests of our service users are respected.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of child development and the ability to provide age-appropriate care and support.
- Experience working with children and families, with a focus on building strong relationships and promoting positive outcomes.
- A driving license is preferred but not essential, as we can discuss flexible arrangements to meet your needs.
Training and Development Opportunities: We invest heavily in the professional development of our staff, offering training programs that include therapeutic crisis intervention, child protection, and attachment and trauma training. This ensures that our team members have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional care and support to our service users.
Benefits: As a full-time employee, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a generous pension scheme, free training opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
Additional Requirements: All Residential Childcare Workers must undergo a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check by Disclosure Scotland, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and protect our service users from harm.
