About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Priory Group, working on a bank basis across our Supported Living locations in York and Stamford Bridge.

About the Job

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Promoting Independence: Encouraging our service users to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills.
  • Achieving Goals: Helping set, achieve and celebrate personal goals for each individual, ensuring they progress at their own pace.
  • Daily Administration: Updating person-centred support and care plans, charts and daily notes.
  • Encouraging Socialisation: Engaging our service users in exciting activities and hobbies that promote involvement and personal growth.
  • Providing Personal Care: Assisting with personal care needs, tailored to each individual's requirements.
  • Building Relationships: Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with external specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, and understands the importance of a person-centred approach, ideally around complex needs. Your enthusiasm inspires others, and you demonstrate resilience when faced with behaviours that challenge. With excellent communication skills, you work well in a team and are eager to learn and continuously develop your skills. You also have an interest in activities such as gardening, arts and crafts, and outdoors activities.

Requirements

A valid UK driving licence is required for this role.
