We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our team at The Disabilities Trust. As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries to regain their independence and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support to service users, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
- Assist service users with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
- Encourage and support service users to participate in activities that promote independence, socialization, and community integration.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
- Empathy and understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with acquired brain injuries.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
