Job Title: Community Events Coordinator

Salary Range: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum

Location: London

Work Arrangement: Hybrid working

About the Role:

This is an exciting new position at Smyth & Co Not for Profit that involves developing and delivering events to support the fundraising team. You will work in partnership with community supporters to create engaging experiences.

  • Develop and deliver community, challenge, third-party, and special events
  • Nurture and develop supporter groups
  • Build strong relationships with donors and volunteers
  • Collaborate with teams across the hospice to create tailored supporter journeys

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative, with excellent communication skills. This role offers a high level of autonomy and satisfaction, as well as the opportunity to see the impact of your work every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Event planning and execution: Develop and deliver events that meet the needs of supporters and current market trends

Sponsorship and partnerships: Build relationships with potential sponsors and partners to secure funding for events

Supporter engagement: Nurture and develop existing supporter groups, and identify opportunities to expand the supporter base

Communication and reporting: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, and provide updates on event progress and outcomes

Financial management: Manage event budgets, and ensure that expenses are kept within allocated limits

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, business, communications)

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in event planning or a related field

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, creativity and attention to detail

Affiliations: Valid driver's license, First Aid certification
