We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the procurement of goods and services required for our operations, working closely with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases and procurement records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences, and coordinate with the warehouse team to manage stock levels.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring they are approved and processed correctly, and resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders and deliveries.
  • Support the procurement team in developing and implementing purchasing strategies, analyzing data to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to analyze data and create reports.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
