Complex Care Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Care Assistant to join our team at PRIDE Health and Social Care.
About the Role:
- Deliver exceptional care to service users, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
- Lead by example, guiding and supporting junior healthcare assistants in delivering high-quality care.
- Ensure compliance with CIW standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Complex Care Delivery:- Deliver specialized care to service users, including tracheostomy care, ventilator support, PEG feeding, catheter care, and medication management.
- Assist service users with daily personal care tasks, promoting independence and dignity.
- Respond to medical emergencies and unexpected changes in a client's condition, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
- Provide guidance and support to the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed according to service users' care plans and company policies.
- Coordinate and supervise daily activities of junior healthcare assistants, offering mentorship and assistance when needed.
- Oversee and manage service users' schedules, ensuring all appointments and visits are planned in advance and communicated effectively.
- Support junior healthcare assistants in developing their skills, facilitating training in complex medical procedures.
- Take ownership of onboarding new staff, identifying ongoing training needs within the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, encouraging team members to engage and participate in meetings.
- Build strong relationships with service users and their families, serving as a point of contact for concerns or questions.
- Advocate for service users, ensuring their preferences, rights, and dignity are respected.
- Perform regular medication spot checks, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely reordering.
- Conduct routine checks on clinical equipment, such as beds and hoists, ensuring they are serviced appropriately.
- Oversee the completion of accurate care records, medication logs, and other documentation.
- Promptly report any instances of non-compliance.
Requirements:
- Previous Complex Care experience required.
- Commitment to developing leadership skills is essential.
- Enrolled or keen to be enrolled onto a NVQ Level 3.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to guide and mentor junior staff.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements (CIW, safeguarding, health and safety).
Estimated Salary: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour
