GKN Aerospace is a leading innovator in the aerospace industry, and we're looking for a talented Programme and Commercial Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our programme support team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering operational excellence to our customers.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including preparing quotations, reviewing customer claims, producing programme reports, and running 'mini' projects. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, to ensure the successful delivery of our programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of key projects with support from the programme and/or project manager.
- Compiling and following up work breakdown structure (WBS), organization breakdown structure (OBS), and cost breakdown structure (CBS) schedules/plans for the program.
- Control and monitoring on progress, scope, costs, and resource management and allocation for the program.
- Based on analysis, initiating improvements/recoveries on on-time delivery (OTD) and quality (Q) from Customer Scorecards/delivery schedule adherence (DSA)/Q etc in close collaboration with the responsible disciplines.
- Preparing and maintaining the customer outlook for budgeting purposes.
- Preparing the demand for operations, including required performance measures and Supporting the Budget agreements with the performance site.
- Supporting Risk and Opportunity Management activities (including commercial risks) and managing the risk register to control and mitigate the risk exposure.
- Establishing and controlling robust document management in the IPT and towards/from the customer, in relation to Programme and Commercial correspondence and topics.
- Preparing and analyzing the Program Performance Summary (PPS), and initiating actions in case of deviations.
- Support the Change Board process and customer/change negotiations through the analysis, creation, coordination, and delivery of change proposals to customer requests, including quotations for commercial impacts.
- Manage the price list for all deliverable items and co-ordinate internally and externally to ensure price changes are introduced in a controlled way.
- Prepare and negotiate pricing quotations for out of scope activities and spares items, and minor commercial claims in relation to the contract, and execute any agreed actions for claim/dispute resolution.
- Process and support the programme order book to accurately reflect customer Purchase Order requirements, and interface internally and externally to assess and agree the impacts of orderbook changes.
