We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our electronics workshop, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of electronic assemblies.

As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing electronic assemblies, identifying and rectifying defects, and producing drawings to satisfy customer requirements. You will also be responsible for monitoring levels of workload and reporting to the OME in advance of any possibilities that current tasks may require additional resources.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Inspection and Testing: Perform regular inspections and tests on electronic assemblies to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
  • Defect Identification and Rectification: Identify any defects or non-conformances and take corrective action to rectify them.
  • Workload Monitoring: Monitor levels of workload and report to the OME in advance of any possibilities that current tasks may require additional resources.
  • Drawings Production: Produce drawings to satisfy customer requirements or as required for quotation purposes.

Key Responsibilities

You will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to resolve documentation and manufacturing issues within the electronics workshop, as well as providing electronics training to staff regarding electronics test and measurement principles and the use of workshop equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years quality management experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of carrying out functional and final testing of electronic assemblies.
  • Qualified to carry out IPC-620 and IPC-610, Class 2 inspection requirements.
  • Experience of functional and final testing of electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs using standard test equipment.
  • Ability to interpret assembly drawings, item lists, circuit diagrams, and wiring schedules.
