About the Role

Culina Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Emerging Talent Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our workforce development team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our workforce by designing and implementing effective apprenticeship programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Develop Apprenticeship Systems: Develop and maintain apprenticeship systems, policies, and procedures to support improvement plans and compliance with regulations regarding Levy Funding.
  • Liaise with Depots: Liaise with depots across the business to raise awareness of apprenticeship opportunities available to all colleagues, including arranging and attending 'Engagement Days' to discuss opportunities in more detail.
  • Identify Apprenticeship Needs: Identify apprenticeship needs from colleagues and other stakeholders across the business and suggest appropriate apprenticeship standards while attending 'Engagement Days'.
  • Support Emerging Talent Manager: Support the Group Emerging Talent Manager in the management of KPIs, systems, and processes, and to report and act on quality performance issues and trends in line with the business's priorities.
  • Manage Emerging Talent Initiatives: Manage emerging talent initiatives, including designing and attending assessment centers, recruitment and jobs fairs, public engagement events, managing the program, and all associated admin.
  • Work with Training Providers: Work in partnership with the business, other emerging team members, and training providers to support the effective delivery of apprenticeship standards.
  • Manage Strategic Relationships: Manage and maintain strategic relationships with training providers who are supplying services related to apprenticeships.
  • Attend Industry Events: Attend apprenticeship shows such as NAS/NCSL to spread awareness of the Group and apprenticeship opportunities available.
  • Record Keeping: Keep and maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all emerging talent initiatives training undertaken.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Engage with members of the public to grow the business profile and team's wider network.
  • Industry Partnerships: Work closely with industry professionals and associations to offer advice and support where necessary.
  • Hidden Talent Pools: Create relationships and work with underrepresented groups, charities, and corporate social enterprise companies to explore hidden talent pools.
Requirements
  • Computer Literacy: A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications.
  • Verbal Reasoning: Strong verbal reasoning skills and the ability to communicate across a wide variety of audiences.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in order to deliver accurate information to trainees.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, including accurate data analysis.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder projects, meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Transport Experience: Experience in transport and warehouse environments is desirable.
  • Adaptability: A flexible, robust approach with the ability to adapt to changing environments is essential.
  • Work-Based Learning: Knowledge of work-based learning programs, including apprenticeships and the Digital Account System, is essential.
  • Communication at All Levels: Able to manage effectively and communicate at all levels.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel is essential.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license is essential for the role.
