Public Health Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Public Health Consultant to join our team at Adult Social Care. The successful candidate will lead on improving the health and wellbeing of our residents, working closely with the Director of Public Health and other consultant colleagues.

Job Purpose

The post-holder will act as a change agent to enable delivery of relevant outcome indicators from the public health, NHS, and social care outcome frameworks. This will involve working at a population level across prevention and care services, commissioning and working with partner organisations to improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic leadership for improving health and wellbeing outcomes for older people, people with learning disabilities, and public mental health.
  • Lead specialist public health input to the work of the Adult Social Care Directorate and associated commissioning.
  • Work with partner organisations to improve outcomes and deliver relevant outcome indicators.

Requirements

  • Experience in public health and healthcare services management.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
  • Ability to work at a population level and commission services.
