Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Ships Agent. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients in the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Action operational requests from vessels, vessel owners, and charterers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Source and procure equipment and supplies as required.
  • Input, retrieve, and report data using computerized systems, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of risk assessments and method statements, and ensure compliance with legislation and company rules.
  • Work closely with safety advisors to investigate incidents and implement safety initiatives.
  • Perform driving duties, including transporting ships personnel, belongings, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Full clean driving license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and numeric skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and ownership.
  • Motivated to achieve high standards of performance and customer support.
  • Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite, including MS AX.
