Associate Director, Advancement

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director to join our team in the construction sector. As a leading consultancy, we are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our quantum team in the Leeds office.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on domestic and international projects and disputes, as well as benefiting from industry-leading training and support to enhance and develop their delay analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the drafting of detailed expert witness reports for use in formal dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Develop a contract and commercial strategy to successfully recover performance of distressed projects or major programmes in line with client outcomes.
  • Review and assess contemporaneous project records to establish quantum associated with claims and/or disputes.
  • Conduct quantum forensic analysis of tender, contract, and claims documentation.
  • Effectively manage stakeholders, including clients and supply-chain partners, and chair meetings as necessary.
  • Analyse project and major programme performance, identifying root causes of distress.
  • Experience in claims matters arising from contractor or subcontractor roles.
  • Familiarity with claims and formal dispute proceedings.
  • Knowledge of relevant applications and technologies in quantity surveying and commercial management.
  • Experience in leading claims pursuit and negotiation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or a similar degree in construction.
  • Master's degree in applicable construction specialism, preferably construction law.
