Job Description

Maxim Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Advancement to join our client's team in their Leeds office. As a key member of the construction sector, you will be responsible for leading the drafting of detailed expert witness reports for use in formal dispute resolution proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a contract and commercial strategy to successfully recover performance of distressed projects or major programs in line with client outcomes.
  • Review and assess contemporaneous project records to establish quantum associated with claims and/or disputes.
  • Conduct quantum forensic analysis of tender, contract, and claims documentation.
  • Effectively manage stakeholders with the client and at all levels of the supply-chain, chairing meetings as necessary.
  • Analyze project and major program performance, identifying root causes of distress.
  • Develop and implement strategies to pursue claims up or down the supply-chain, leading to successful negotiated resolution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or a similar degree in construction.
  • Master's degree in an applicable construction specialism, preferably a construction law LLM or similar.
