We are seeking a skilled and proactive Support Technician to join our Maintenance Engineering team at our Shirebrook Distribution Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance support for our distribution systems and equipment, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide maintenance support for distribution systems, including conveyor belts, sorting machines, and automated storage systems. Work closely with the maintenance technicians and be able to work autonomously.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve simple issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Perform Regular Inspections: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on distribution equipment with appropriate support where required.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Monitor Performance: Monitor the performance of distribution systems to identify potential issues.
- Report Irregularities: Report any irregularities or potential problems to the maintenance supervisor.
- Adhere to Regulations: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance checks.
- Education: GCSEs or equivalent. NVQ Level 1 in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance desired, but not required.
- Experience: Experience in a semi-skilled maintenance role, preferably within a distribution or logistics environment.
- Skills: Technical troubleshooting skills, ability to work in confined spaces or at heights, and effective communication skills.
