Job Title: Production Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Team Leader to join our team at Marshalls PLC. As a Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site, focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all team members report safety, health, environmental, and quality concerns, and address the root causes using the SHEQ concerns process.
  • Adopt a zero-tolerance approach to safety breaches, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and site controls.
  • Manage safety and environmental incidents, comply with incident reporting requirements, and ensure team training in risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure team availability for routine health surveillance and foster an environment where team members feel comfortable reporting potential health issues.
  • Communicate Health, Safety, and Environmental updates from other areas of the site or business to the team.
  • Ensure all relevant equipment undergoes statutory checks, and the team is appropriately trained for their roles.
  • Complete a monthly Integrated Process Team (IPT) check in line with company policy.

Requirements:

  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate and other relevant qualifications (ILM, Lean/Six Sigma desirable).
  • Experience of operating in a medium/large manufacturing site with responsibility for a team of 10 or more employees.
  • Ideal experience of leading operation teams.
  • A knowledge and understanding of OEE and TME.
  • Experience of implementing continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques (DMAIC, desirable).
  • Experience of maximising the potential of others, including development and performance management.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving and improving site performance.
