We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Worker to join our team at Active Care Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and support other staff in the overall management and organisation of the home to ensure its smooth and efficient running.
- Help to establish an atmosphere in which children / young people can, with good basic structures, be supported, stimulated, and provided with the opportunities to achieve their full potential at the level suitable for the children/young people.
- Implement established care plans for the children/young people, including providing support with daily living tasks, such as feeding, dressing, toileting, and washing/bathing.
- Participate in individual and group recreational activities as appropriate, promoting independence and life skills.
- Act as a link worker to a small number of individuals, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, on annual appraisal and training events.
- Help the development of community involvement and understanding.
- Bring to the attention of Seniors the needs of both the children and the establishment as a whole.
- Undertake any specific tasks delegated by the manager related to the running of the establishment.
- Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
- Experience with supporting children with complex needs.
- Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working.
- Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
- Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
- Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations.
- 25 days plus bank holidays.
- Birthday off.
- After probation, you will be enrolled on a level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care course.
