Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at a 6-bed residential home for children and young adults aged 5-18. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, helping them to reach their full potential and live a happy and fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of support workers to deliver outstanding care and support to our residents.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for residents and staff, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and social activities, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
  • Monitor and document young people's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance their well-being.
  • Support effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, local authorities, and other professional agencies, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Conduct training and development sessions for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining the highest standards of care and support.
  • Promote and encourage the participation of young people in the decision-making process of the home and the wider community, empowering them to take control of their lives and make informed decisions.
