The successful applicant will have extensive experience working in a similar environment and will be up-to-date with current practices. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work in a busy, dynamic setting and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.

Located in the heart of leafy St John's Wood, minutes from Central London, our luxury private Hospital has an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients and is unique in that all profits fund our onsite Hospice, St John's.

What would be my responsibilities as the Senior Surgical Nurse Specialist?

  • To assist in planning and delivering individualised, safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care.
  • To manage the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the department within the scope of practice and allocated resources.
  • To participate in the operational management of the department and take on shift leading responsibilities on a regular basis.
  • To undertake tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Ward Manager, supporting the management and development of nursing care and the delivery of the service.
  • To provide support to the Ward Manager, Deputy Ward Manager, and shift leaders.
  • To undertake a link nurse role(s) for designated clinical responsibilities, attend meetings, and complete associated actions attached to the link nurse role.

  • Current NMC registration in adult or general nursing.
  • 2 years' post-registration experience in one of the specialties of the ward.
  • Evidence of ongoing training and commitment to professional development.
  • Significant post-registration skills.

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional growth and development.
