About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Projects Director to join our team at Star Academies. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our Projects Unit, overseeing a diverse programme of new projects, including the development of new schools, converting and transferring academies, and exploring business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Projects Unit, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programmes.
  • Develop and implement effective project delivery approaches, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including schools, academies, and external partners.
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring the effective management of resources and risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project delivery and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in project management, with experience in leading and managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate project teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective project delivery approaches, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Experience in business change and organisational development initiatives, with a strong understanding of the education sector.
