We are seeking a seasoned Project Management Professional to lead our dynamic team of project managers within our BAE customer sites nationally, with main sites based in Preston.

Reporting to our Projects Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of project managers and delivering multiple projects for our BAE Customer.

As a Head of Project Delivery at Mitie, you will be expected to lead your team and projects with ownership, ensuring excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and adherence to financial and health and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication, effective collaboration, and high performance.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of quality and excellence in project delivery, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proactive problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Oversee project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are financially viable and cost-effective.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM). Promote a culture of safety and well-being on all projects.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Maintain meticulous project documentation, ensuring all administrative aspects are handled with precision and attention to detail.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a multi-project environment, managing multiple clients and delivering high-quality projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to own projects and drive teams towards excellence.
  • Expertise in project administration with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex project challenges.
