National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is a world-leading nuclear research organization. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Leading Criticality Expert to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our criticality safety assessment efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nuclear safety and experience in leading teams.

The estimated salary for this position is around £85,000-£105,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical delivery of projects in the criticality area to time, cost, quality, value, and service requirements
  • Develop and implement new methodologies and approaches for criticality safety assessment
  • Provide expert knowledge of criticality safety assessment and stay up-to-date with developments in methodology and approach
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent level of demonstrable technical capability
  • SQEP 3 with demonstrable experience in criticality safety
  • Excellent level of knowledge in the specialized field of criticality safety assessment
  • Proven ability to act independently, under own initiative, while supervising other members of the team
