Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Crew Manager National Resilience Trainer to join our team in Exeter, Devon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to lead the work of teams and individuals to achieve their objectives and provide feedback.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking responsibility for personal performance and developing their own skills to improve performance.

They will also establish and maintain effective working relations with people, contribute to the identification and planning of development needs of teams and individuals, investigate and report on events to inform future practice, and drive, manoeuvre and redeploy fire service vehicles.

What We're Looking For
  • A strong understanding of the Training for Competence framework
  • Experience working in the field of National Resilience, including USAR, HVP, LACE water rescue, rope rescue, safety at height and confined spaces
  • Sound operational knowledge and experience, with an appreciation of the dynamic environment in which the USAR team operates
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to work additional hours to meet the needs of the Service

With a competitive estimated salary of £43,144 - £56,131 per annum, this role offers a unique blend of challenge and reward.

The ideal candidate will be a competent Firefighter, able to demonstrate significant leadership experience, and have been successful at all elements of the Leading Others Assessment or an ADC to be eligible.
