Job Title: Principal C&I Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join our successful team based in Manchester. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical input for projects and/or proposals, including preparation, checking, and/or approval of engineering documentation.

Costain provides engineering services to the Energy, Water, Transport, Nuclear, and Defence sectors, with over 300 engineers and designers across the UK. Our main engineering hubs are in Manchester, London, and Aberdeen, with the experience and capability to provide engineering services to all sectors.

This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days in our Manchester Office. You will be working on a career-enhancing project where you will be a welcomed member of the wider team. Costain is looking for skilled people who'll help us shape, create, and deliver pioneering solutions that transform the performance of the infrastructure ecosystem across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input for projects and/or proposals, including preparation, checking, and/or approval of engineering documentation.
  • Lead the instrument discipline team and ensure that all engineering documentation meets the required standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure that all engineering solutions meet the required standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in electrical engineering and control systems.
  • Ensure that all engineering solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
