We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Deputy Care Manager to join our team at CareTech Community Services Ltd.

About the Role:

As a Deputy Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, severe physical disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, challenging behaviour, mental health, forensic needs, and acquired brain injury.

You will work closely with the manager to deliver a professional, flexible service that enables our service users to lead fulfilling and satisfying lives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of support workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
  • Act as a role model for staff, promoting a culture of positivity, friendliness, and innovation.
  • Offer regular supervision to all staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of our service users.
  • Participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities, seeking opportunities for improvements to service users' lifestyles and staff skills.
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and other stakeholders, respecting confidentiality and promoting a culture of openness and transparency.
  • Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care and support, contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • The passion to work with vulnerable adults and promote their independence and well-being.
  • The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding and promote a culture of safety and respect.
