About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Deputy Service Lead to join our team at Morven House, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. As a Deputy Service Lead, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to young adults with complex needs and autism.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, carry out, and amend clients' Support Plans, risk assessments, and reviews in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Provide emotional and practical support to clients, enabling them to achieve outcomes set in their Support Plans.
- Support clients to maximise their income, gain access to benefits, and budget for everyday expenses.
- Ensure clients develop and maintain links with local community facilities, such as educational, recreational, and employment opportunities.
- Implement and ensure effective safeguarding practices in line with local authority and our policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of supporting young adults with complex needs and autism within a supported living setting is essential.
- Up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits for designated client groups.
- Understanding of housing support needs for clients.
- Understanding of how to support people to support themselves.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.94.
- 37.5 hours per week – 2-3 days off rota (for administrative duties and shift leading), weekend work will be required at times.
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays.
