Hospital Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our senior leadership team at Good Hope Hospital, part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive safety culture and leading the medical workforce across the Good Hope site. They will work closely with the Hospital Executive Director and Chief Medical Officer to develop and implement a robust quality governance framework.
This is a leadership and management role, requiring strong clinical and leadership skills. While a specific clinical background is not necessary, the ability to lead and manage a team of medical professionals is essential.
We welcome applications from experienced Consultants within our care group, the Trust, and external candidates. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the development of our Trust values: Kind, Connected, and Bold.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the medical workforce across the Good Hope site
- Develop and implement a robust quality governance framework
- Work closely with the Hospital Executive Director and Chief Medical Officer
- Contribute to the development of our Trust values
Requirements:
- Strong clinical and leadership skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team of medical professionals
