Job Title: Clinical / Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Director, you will play a key role in shaping the clinical strategy and direction of our hospital, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and services
  • Lead and manage a team of medical professionals to ensure effective delivery of clinical services
  • Collaborate with other hospital directors to ensure seamless integration of clinical services
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards

Person Specification:
  • Qualified Medical or Dental professional, GMC or GDC registered
  • Postgraduate qualifications in medical education or clinical governance
  • Unblemished registration with GMC
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
Experience:
  • Extensive experience as a Consultant
  • Medical Management experience
  • Knowledge and experience of clinical governance
  • Substantial senior leadership experience in a complex health organization
  • Experience of clinical governance and patient safety measures
  • Record of partnership working
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Good understanding of the current context of health and social care
