About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Instrument Supervisor to join our team at STERIS. As a key member of our instrument processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of surgical instruments.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments, consumables, and equipment within predefined quality standards.
  • Provide direct supervision to ensure timely delivery of clean and/or sterile instrumentation.
  • Maintain operational activities in compliance with all required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor, maintain, and record all department quality assurance records in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Contribute to the planning and operational process as an integral member of the management team.

Requirements
  • Education to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
  • Basic end-user IT skills to operate track and traceability systems.
  • Flexibility, teamwork, integrity, working under pressure, accountability, and attention to detail are essential skills for this role.

Sterilization techniques must be applied consistently while ensuring that staff adhere to relevant health and safety protocols. This position involves hands-on work managing teams, supervising activities, and monitoring performance to improve overall efficiency.
