Neurodiversity Manager - HMP Fosse Way

At Serco, we are committed to providing exceptional support to our prison residents with neurodivergent needs. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurodiversity Manager to join our team at HMP Fosse Way.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive neurodiversity support strategy across the prison. This will involve working closely with stakeholders to ensure that all prisoners with neurodivergent needs receive the necessary support to achieve their goals and progress through education, skills, and work pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a neurodiversity needs strategy for the prison, incorporating input from key stakeholders, including the Head of Education, Skills, and Work, and the education provider.
  2. Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to implement and maintain systems and structures to ensure that education, skills, and work activities are tailored to meet the needs of all prisoners, including those with neurodivergent needs.
  3. Manage the collection and analysis of neurodivergent data at a local level, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address participation and achievement gaps.
  4. Case manage prisoners with neurodivergent needs, ensuring that their individual requirements are met and that they receive the necessary support to progress through education, skills, and work pathways.
  5. Raise awareness of neurodiversity across the prison, upskilling staff to support a whole-prison approach to supporting prisoners with neurodivergent needs.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in education and training, with experience of working with neurodiverse learners in a custodial setting. They will also have a proven track record of developing effective partnerships with stakeholders and implementing change in a complex operational setting.
