Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our client's finance team as a key member. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to enhance their skills and work closely with a talented and supportive team.


About the Role

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing a small but growing team, acting as the right-hand person to the Finance Director. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing business partnering support to the business and internal stakeholders
  • Leading the finance team, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring ongoing coaching, training, and guidance
  • Owning systems, reporting, and analysis, preparing and presenting reports to the Senior Management Team
  • Ensuring monthly timetables are adhered to and all reconciliations are recorded accurately
  • Producing Monthly Management Accounts and variance analysis
  • Managing cash flow and FX requirements, reporting monthly to the group
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Working closely with the Finance Director on forecasting and budgeting

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Strong people management and Excel skills, with experience in management accounting and business partnering
  • Qualified accountancy credentials (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or comparable experience
  • Experience with Salesforce or Sage Intact is advantageous, as is experience in IFRS reporting (particularly IFRS 16)
