Join Our Team as a Highways Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highways Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our Highways Operations and Design Service, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality highway infrastructure schemes and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our highways network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a team of Operational Engineers and their teams in delivering a wide range of Highways Structures Projects.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve service delivery and performance, utilizing data to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure that projects are practical, deliverable, and meet the needs of our customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including District and Parish Councils, the Environment Agency, Highways England, Network Rail, and The Canals and Rivers Trust.
  • Oversee the delivery of highway projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
