Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Highways Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our Highways Operations and Design Service, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of Operational Highway Structures Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, lead, and motivate Operational Engineers and their teams to deliver high-quality works for our customers.
  • Manage both direct and subcontract labor to ensure the delivery of a high-performance service.
  • Work closely with design teams to influence design choices and ensure projects are practical and deliverable.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party organizations, such as District and Parish Councils, the Environment Agency, and Highways England, to deliver highway projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading and managing Highways Operations, with a strong understanding of highway structures and project delivery.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform service delivery and improve performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Political awareness and ability to support corporate responsibilities.
