As a Consultant Ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ophthalmic care to the population of the Morecambe Bay Area.

Our department provides a wide range of services, including General Ophthalmology, AMD and Medical Retina clinics, Corneal service, Glaucoma service, and Oculoplastic service. You will be based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, with the opportunity to work cross-bay occasionally to meet the needs of the service.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in ophthalmology, with experience in clinical supervision and education. You will be expected to contribute to the on-call ophthalmic service and participate in the delivery of medical education and multi-professional training.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) or be within six months of completion at the time of interview. You will also be required to have a Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (or equivalent) and be fully registered with the General Medical Council.

We offer a competitive salary of £99,532 to £131,964 per annum, pro rata per annum.
