About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmology Specialist to join our team at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ophthalmic care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency cover to ophthalmic patients
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ophthalmic services
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (with license to practice)
  • Certificate of completion in specialist training (CCT) or within 6 months of completion of training at the time of interview
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (or equivalent)
Working Environment

You will be based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, working closely with our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. You will have the opportunity to work across our three main hospital sites, providing a comprehensive range of ophthalmic services to our patients.

Person Specification
