Job Title: Practice Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Practice Nurse to join our team at Brook Medical Centre.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide routine nursing services to our patient population, including vaccinations, health checks, and screenings.
  2. Work independently and as part of our multidisciplinary team to manage chronic diseases such as Diabetes, COPD, and Asthma.
  3. Conduct ECGs, blood pressure checks, and other routine monitoring procedures.
  4. Provide travel advice, minor illness diagnosis, and treatment, as well as venepuncture and pathology sample preparation.
  5. Maintain health promotion literature and information for patients, and assist doctors with minor surgery procedures when required.

Requirements:

  1. Formal Nursing Qualification and registration with the NMC.
  2. Experience of working independently and as part of a team.
  3. Desirable: experience of working in Primary Care.

Brook Medical Centre is a busy practice with a patient list in excess of 6300 patients. Our practice area is on the eastern edge of Northampton and comprises a mixture of private and social housing.
