Airport Operations Manager

Newcastle International Airport is the primary international gateway to North East England, offering easy access to a region rich in historical heritage, blue flag beaches, and dramatic landscapes. The airport is home to 16 airline partners, connecting the region's leisure and business passengers to over 80 destinations.
The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Passenger Services Duty Manager to join our well-established Passenger Services Department. The successful candidate will lead, motivate, and develop the department, ensuring the effective delivery of all aspects of the department's operation, in line with the variable needs of the business and its customers and business partners.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Passenger Services department, ensuring effective delivery of all aspects of the department's operation.
- Implement and adhere to company systems and procedures.
- Identify individual training and development needs.
- Report to the Passenger Services Operations Manager and the wider terminal operations management team on the management of departmental services and the use of the airport's baggage halls and baggage belt system by third parties.
- Oversee the running of the Passenger Services Control Hub, ensuring all requests for services are dealt with by the team in a prompt, efficient, and customer-focused manner.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are kept clean and tidy, and that they remain operational for safe customer use.
- Work collaboratively with other NIAL departments and business partners to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Ensure appropriate health and safety arrangements are adopted, fulfilling the requirements of departmental and corporate Safety Management Systems.
