Hardware Design Specialist

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Design Specialist to join our team at SPX Technologies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing electronic circuits and sub-assemblies for use in military or airborne applications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Design and Development:
- Design of electronic circuits, subsystems, and systems of varying complexity.
- Complete electronic design including scoping of new systems and technologies.
- Managing external design houses and resources as required.
- Production and manufacturing assistance as required.
- Self-testing and troubleshooting of your own design and development work.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and updating of existing design and development work produced by other engineers.
- Provide task time estimates and risk considerations to the project manager.
- Organise and lead technical projects, including Preliminary, Interim, and Critical Design Reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related subject.
- Experience in digital circuit design, analogue circuit design, RF circuit design, and design for IPC.
- Ability to work in a team and interact with other engineering disciplines.
