About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at SeeAbility. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and sight loss to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with complex needs, including physical disabilities and sight loss.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, medication management, and personal hygiene.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Support individuals to achieve their personal goals and aspirations, including education, employment, and leisure activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare staff, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive support.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and sight loss.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Valid full UK manual driving license.
