Nurse Deputy Home Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Deputy Home Manager to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and promote a culture of person-centred care, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care and support.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including health and social care professionals, to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care.
  • Ensure that our home meets all regulatory and organisational standards, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Promote resident involvement and participation in decision-making processes, ensuring that their needs and preferences are respected and valued.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, relatives, and visitors, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the economic viability of the service, maximising income and monitoring expenditure.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team of staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional care.
  • Act as a role model and provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a nursing setting, with strong operational management skills.
  • Understanding of relevant legislative requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Proven experience of managing and developing teams, with a focus on staff development and retention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, residents, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to clients, with a focus on promoting dignity and respect.
