Nurse Deputy Home Manager Job Opportunity

An exciting new role has arisen for a dedicated Nurse Deputy Home Manager to join our team at a leading nursing home in Tranent, East Lothian. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with residents and their key workers, promoting person-centred care and support.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in health and social care to ensure seamless support and care delivery.
  • Ensure regulatory and organisational standards are met, promoting best practice and excellence in care.
  • Promote resident involvement and empowerment through decision-making processes and access to relevant services and information.
  • Foster positive relationships with staff, residents, relatives, and visitors, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the economic viability of the service, maximising income and monitoring expenditure.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team of staff, ensuring compliance with HR and L&D policies.
  • Act as a deputy to the Home Manager, ensuring effective management of the home in their absence.
  • Contribute to special projects and change programmes, supporting the Group's objectives.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a nursing setting, with strong operational management skills.
  • Understanding of relevant legislative requirements.
  • Proven experience of managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to clients with diverse needs.
