About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Field Engineer to join our construction team in Stafford, VA. As a key member of our project support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Assist with daily reports, job walks, and scope development; Provide support during bid negotiations and assist with procurement processes; Prepare as-built drawings and operation manuals.
  • Estimating: Collaborate on detailed line-item takeoffs and pricing; Enter data into Unit Price Book software using RS Means or other estimating tools.
  • Subcontractor Support: Prepare bid documents for subcontractors; Assemble quotes for review; Gather safety information and track progress payments.
  • Scheduling: Contribute to developing and maintaining project schedules.
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with company HSEQ guidelines and local regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (desired).
  • Experience: Some experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor.
  • Skills: Estimating, design, and scheduling software proficiency (highly desired); Blueprint reading knowledge (a plus).
  • Personal Qualities: Adaptability, integrity, effective communication, and collaboration skills.
