Job Title: CCTV Monitoring Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our CCTV Monitoring Team at King's College Hospital. As a CCTV Monitoring Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the team, ensuring the safety and security of all persons and properties within the hospital.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the CCTV Monitoring Team, ensuring they provide a high-profile, visible uniformed presence to the general public and hospital staff.
  • Supervise and administer security staff, including appraisals, attendance sheets, sickness/absence records, disciplinary investigations, training, and implementation of Trust policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate all staff duties, ensuring that any staff absence is covered and that staff patrol and provide escorts as directed.
  • Respond to security incidents within an agreed time frame and attend medical emergencies to provide support to medical staff.
  • Liaise with Emergency Services and the Trust's Works Department.
  • Coordinate and work as part of the Fire Response Team.
  • Manage and staff the hospital's Security Control Room, monitoring all alarms and CCTV cameras.
  • Use designated powers and policies when intervening at incidents.
  • Promote a pro-security culture within the Trust.
  • Investigate and monitor ongoing staff investigations into security incidents/breaches.
  • Manage the hospital's car parking systems and enforce the Trust's parking policies.
  • Attend court and give evidence in relation to any incident.
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are met and maintained.
  • Comply with the Trust and local security policies.
  • Take additional responsibilities in the absence of a Security Manager.
  • Support risk Management for the Directorate and the Trust.

  • High levels of personal integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and empathy skills.
  • Proficient in the use of ICT, including Windows and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience of working in a large organisation.
  • Experience of working in a security environment.
  • Knowledge of Police and Criminal Evidence Act and common law relating to powers of arrest and the use of force.
