Cardiology Consultant

NHS Lothian is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Cardiologist with a passion for Medical Education to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality cardiology services within NHS Lothian
- Lead and deliver the undergraduate teaching programme within the Cardiology Department at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh
- Develop a subspecialty interest in cardiac imaging or advanced cardiac device implantation (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
The Edinburgh Heart Centre is a regional cardiothoracic centre providing a comprehensive range of cardiac services, including electrophysiology and implantable cardiac devices, complex percutaneous coronary and structural heart intervention, as well as advanced cardiac imaging.
Requirements:
- Full GMC Registration and a license to practise
- Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
- Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview (for UK-trained applicants)
- Equivalent training for non-UK applicants
