Consultant Cardiologist Opportunity

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in Advanced Cardiac Device Implantation and/or Electrophysiology to join our dynamic team within NHS Lothian.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the regional cardiology service based at the Edinburgh Heart Centre, delivering high-quality cardiac services at St John's Hospital in Livingston.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the regional cardiology service based at the Edinburgh Heart Centre
  • Deliver high-quality cardiac services at St John's Hospital in Livingston
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Advanced Cardiac Device Implantation and/or Electrophysiology
  • Collaborate with enthusiastic trainees, specialist nurses, and physiologists to provide comprehensive cardiac services

Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration
  • License to practise
  • Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
  • Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded
