We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in Advanced Cardiac Device Implantation and Electrophysiology to join our dynamic team at the Edinburgh Heart Centre.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, with opportunities to contribute to the regional cardiology service and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality cardiac services at St Johns Hospital in Livingston and contribute to the regional cardiology service based at the Edinburgh Heart Centre.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Advanced Cardiac Device Implantation and Electrophysiology.
  • Collaborate with specialist nurses, physiologists, and trainees to provide comprehensive cardiac services.
  • Participate in the development of departmental and specialty information.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full GMC Registration and a license to practise.
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
  • Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
  • Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
